LEGEND greyhound Brett Lee is nearing the end of his life.
Owner Keith Pedrana confirmed this today.
The Hall of Fame sprinter by Gun Law Osti-Sobbing Sal has become
a world phenomenon as a stud dog.
Brett Lee is 12 years old.
Pedrana confirmed Brett Lee had broken a leg in a paddock
accident five weeks ago and had two plates and 14 screws
inserted in the injury.
He had been living inside the Pedrana's Sydney home, but
complications with the leg have forced a necessary and tragic
decision to be made.
Pedrana said he would speak to a taxidermist early next week to
have the dog preserved for all time.
Once that was completed, he would be forced into his "hardest
decision ever" and Brett Lee will be humanely put down."
